New(ish) Favourites

Over the past few months I have had a lot of favourite products, I have to admit I have gone on a few shopping sprees so there are bound to be a few favourites in there.  So even though it isn’t a monthly favourites I just thought I would share with you some of the things I have really loved.

First up is something that has had a lot of hype and a lot of love in the beauty world and for a very good reason, it’s the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Bronzer in Luminous Bronze Light – I am absolutely obsessed with this product and I kid you not I have used it everyday since buying it!  Although it is shimmery I feel like it’s quite a natural shimmer that just adds a stunning glow to the face not a disco ball look.  When applied lightly it just adds a subtle bronze goddess look.  Along with the bronzer I have also been obsessed with another item of the ambient lighting family it’s the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blush in Diffused Heat – Much like the bronzer it adds colour as well as a beautiful glow, it just a smoothing product as well, it just glides over the pores without the shimmer emphasising them which is a major bonus.  Another bit of shimma shimma I’ve added to my life is the Essence Soo Glow in Look on the Bright Side – This is a beautiful cream to powder formula with some ridiculously good pigment going on.  I love using this on a night out, it really gives you the whole highlight on fleek situation.  Plus this is super super cheap so if you ever see it, grab it.  Next up is another favourite in the beauty community it’s the L’oreal Infallible 24 HR in Rose Beige – As an oily skin lass I am constantly on the lookout for the perfect oil controlling foundation that has some serious lasting power and this is definitely a brilliant one.  This lasts all damn day on me which is a rare find for me so when I found it I new I had to share it with all of you and proclaim my love for it, if you want to read more about it I have a post on it here.  Now it’s all about the lips, my first lip favourite is Chi Chi Creamy Matte Liquid Lipstick in Crazy in Love – This is a pinky brown everyday kind of colour which at the moment is the kind of shade I’ve been wearing every damn day.  This formula is great as it’s not really drying at does feel creamy for a long time after applying it, plus the lasting power is great!  A lipstick very, very similar to this is the Rimmel Apocalips Matte Lipgloss in Celestial – This is very similar to Chi Chi lipstick, it’s nice and creamy and lasts for quite a while.  I do like to wear a lipliner under this as it isn’t quite as opaque as the Chi Chi but I still really love it.  Finally I have another nude lipstick, can you see a trend here?  It’s the Clinique Color Pop Lipstick in Nude Pop – These lipsticks are ridiculously pigmented which is brilliant for a nude lipstick, they are also super creamy and comfortable to wear all day long.  I also love this shade as I can reapply without a mirror, how handy is that?

So there you have my new(ish) favourites.  What have you been loving lately?

Disappointing Products

Before I get started on this post I just want to make a little disclaimer – I am not saying that any of these products are necessarily bad, it is just that they didn’t really work out for me.  So of you may really love these product and I really wanted to but I just didn’t get along with them.  So with that being said I actually really enjoy watching and reading disappointing product posts, the kind of give me an idea of what to try and if I’ve been looking at purchasing a product it sometimes saves me some precious money!

Let’s get down to it.  First up is Lush Ultrabland Facial Cleaner – This wasn’t a shocking product by no means but it was just kind of bland, it didn’t do a particularly brilliant job of taking off makeup wish is really what I bought it for, even after double cleansing I still found I had makeup left on my face.  It also left a very waxy residue on my face which wasn’t a particularly pleasant feeling.  I did plan to use this up but in the end I just couldn’t put up with it.  Sticking with skincare I purchased an overnight mask, its the Nude Advanced Renewal Overnight Repair Mask – I purchased this instead of sticking with my favourite Origins overnight mask and boy am I disappointed.  I put this onto freshly cleansed skin before I go to bed and massage it into my face as it says but when I wake up in the morning my face feels very dry and patch, I think it’s not creamy enough or something but my skin does not get along with it which is a real shame as it wasn’t cheap!  Another skincare item which is more aimed at tanning I suppose is the St Tropez Self Tan Sensitive Bronzing Lotion Face – I don’t really like using the body tan for my face as it really dries it out so I purchased this in the hopes that it wouldn’t dry my face out and as for sensitive skin I thought it wouldn’t aggravate my redness.  Now it didn’t do either of these things but it also didn’t tan my face, I did not even notice a hint of a tan.  I suppose if I used this over a few days it might make a difference but I don’t really like to stray from my nighttime routine for too long.

Now on to the makeup portion of this post.  First up is a very new product which really disappoints me it’s the Estee Lauder Pure Colour Envy in Precious Petal – I was really excited to try out their version of a liquid lipstick however, as soon as I really tried it out I was disappointed.  It was really patchy on my lips, definitely not opaque so I tried with a liner underneath and it still looked really patchy.  It also didn’t last very long which I’ve never really encountered with a liquid lipstick.  Now this wasn’t cheap so I don’t think I will be purchasing another one thats for sure.  I have been on the lookout for an amazing gel liner for a long time and I thought I would give a drugstore one a go so I purchased the Rimmel Gel Liner in Black – At first I really enjoyed this, it was really black and matte which is brilliant and went on very something however, after a few uses it started to dry up now I am alway really careful to put the lid back on straight away after I use them as I know they dry up easily so this was a real shock when it dried up so quickly.  Finally I have a product that I never thought would feature in a  disappointing products post, it’s the Covergirl Full Lash Bloom in Very Black – If you have ever read anything from my blog I’m pretty sure a covergirl mascara has featured in a post at least once a week.  I am obsessed with the Covergirl Clump Crusher Extensions, I going to call it may favourite ever mascara so I thought I would love this mascara but unfortunately I didn’t, I feel like it didn’t really get all of my lashes, it just kind of barely coated them.  Now I know this is supposed to be a super natural looking mascara but I think it might be a little bit too natural for me.

So there we have it, some unfortunately disappointing products.  Have you tried any of these?  I would love to know if you had any success with them?

It’s been a while since i’ve done an empties post so over the past month or so I’ve been saving up al the products I have finished up ready to share with you my thoughts.

First up is the Aesop Geranium Leaf Body Scrub – I got this beauty in a nice little pack with the geranium leaf moisturiser but I was so excited to try the scrub.  It has that typical Aesop earthy scent which I actually love and boy does this do a decent job of scrubbing that dead skin off!  It has nice big particles that are rough without being to abrasive, I love using this before my fake tan as well as taking of any remnants of tan.  I have to say it is one of the better scrubs I have tried so I think this might be a repurchase.  Sticking to the body care I gave Lush the Olive Branch Shower Gel a try, they suggested this one as it is nice a moisturising which was perfect in the winter months, the scent was heavenly as well which surprised me as I didn’t really expect olive to be particularly nice but it was a lucky surprise.  Now this was a bit of a splurge for me, I normally just stick to supermarket shower gels and to be honest I’ll probably go back to them but maybe every now and then I’ll splurge and treat myself.

Next up is an all time favourite and an absolute staple in my beauty collection, it’s the Cyber Colors Zero Pore Primer – This is literally the best primer I have ever tried, it blurs the pores as much as a primer can and really controls the shine!  I pretty much use this everyday so I’ve got two backups always ready to go.  If you want to read more about this primer I’ve got a post dedicated here.  I’ve finally finished the By Terry Baume De Rose – I had a little cry when scraped the last little bit out of the tub, it’s just so luxurious and does such a brilliant job but the main reason for the tear was that I know I will probably never own this again!  This tiny little tub was $80 which is, in my eyes, a little bit ridiculous hence why I will never own it again.  Next up is Benefit Gimme Brow in Medium/Deep – I really loved this product, it gave a fair bit of colour payoff and its tiny brush meant you could really get every hair and keep my unruly eyebrows in shape.  I probably wouldn’t repurchase this having said all that, I just feel that for the price it ran out far too quickly and now that other brands like L’oreal are making similar products where is no need to splash out on this one.  Finally I finished up one of my all time favourite scents, it’s Flora by Gucci – this is such a beautiful fresh scent that is floral yet sweet and something that I could really wear everyday and don’t worry guys I’ve got a back up!

So there you go, my empties from the last couple of months.  What have you guys finished up?

BB and CC Creams

Much like my obsession with foundation I am constantly on the search for the perfect BB or CC cream and buy every new that one that sounds promising.  Over the years I have managed to find a few good ones that live up to the task of a light feel yet last the distance – not an easy task to live up to.  So today I’m sharing with you my favourite finds.

Lets start with the one and only Chanel CC Cream in 20 Beige – This was a bit of an indulgent purchase but I was on holiday in Hong Kong and just couldn’t help myself.  This is beautifully light and blends seamlessly into the skin which is surprising seeing how thick it is.  I usually work this in with my Sigma flat top kabuki to really make sure its worked in, I do have to powder this but with my oily skin I have to powder everything.  This is also perfect as it has 30 plus SPF so it also acts as a sunscreen which is perfect to wear in summer when I’m out and about.  Next up is the one that started it all, the L’Oreal Nude Magique BB Cream – Before this one I had never really heard of BB creams before but I thought I would give this one a go and I thoroughly enjoyed it.  This particular one is a very thin consistency and is a white lotion but when you work it into the skin it magically transforms to match your skin tone.  What I really love about this is that it dries to a powder finish which helps it last all day long.   A new one to my collection is the Tarte Amazonian Clay BB Tinted Moisturiser in Light Medium – I had never really tried any Tarte products as it’s so hard to get in Australia however, when I was in Singapore i though it was a great chance to give their base products a go.  This is a thick cream that adds a light coverage and a dewy finish to the skin, now I do have to build this up a little as the coverage isn’t amazing but that doesn’t bother me.  As it is a little creamier the lasting power isn’t there but this is just a great light BB cream to wear when I’m heading down to the shops or just popping out to lunch.  Finally I have probably my favourite BB cream, it’s the Benefit Bigger than BB Big Easy Liquid to Powder BB Cream in Light Medium – This is the longest damn name for a product I have ever heard but I just don’t care as it is the best BB cream going around in my opinion.  I bought this specifically to take to Nepal, India and Singapore, I thought seeing as it is a liquid to powder formula it would last throughout the day and being a BB cream it would be quick and easy to apply.  It definitely lived up to both.  One particular day we were trekking through the humid jungle of Nepal for around 4 hours, I came back to my hotel room thinking I would have absolutely no makeup left however, my base looked pretty much perfect – I was truly stunned.  So I continued to wear this throughout the trip including in humid Singapore and it really stood up to the test.  Hands down best coverage and the best wear out of any BB cream I have tried.

Who else loves a good BB and CC cream?  Have you tried any of these?

Foundation Frenzy

Over the last year or so my foundation collection has grown astronomically!  I have a bit of an obsession I think, so in todays post I thought I would share with you the foundations that I just can’t get enough of.  So sensing that this may be a mighty long post I’ll jump straight into it.

First up is I would probably say the catalyst of my obsession, it’s Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation in 4.5 – I first purchased this when I was in Hong Kong as it was a hell of a lot cheaper than in Australia!  I got back to my hotel room and immediately slapped it on my face and boy oh boy did I fall in love.  It’s just beautiful coverage with a nice glowy finish yet for my ridiculously oily skin it does not look shiny.  I only need a small amount of this to get great coverage and it last all darn day.  So after this beautiful first application I headed back to the mall and purchased another bottle as a back up.  Next up is a new discovery and at a much lower price point, its the L’Oreal Infallible 24 Hr Matte in Rose Beige – I had seen this all over instagram when it first came out in the US and I couldn’t wait to get my hands on it when it finally came to Australia!  I was not disappointed one little bit, this one is pretty much heaven sent to us oily girls out there as it’s matte and long lasting and even though it’s been winter I’ve still been loving it.  I’ve really tested it out on long days of travelling and uni and it has really stood up to the test, I have a dedicated a post to this little beauty if you want to check it out.  Back to the high end of town is another matte lady’s dream it’s the Chanel Perfection Lumiere Velvet in 20 Beige – I had heard so many amazing things about this foundation that I knew I had to give it a go, it’s one of those very thin foundations that you would think wouldn’t cover much but it sure does.  It is super easy to apply and covers everything that I need, this is a bit of a must for me when I go on holidays as it dries to a matte finish, lasts all day and is super quick to apply with your fingers.  Now back to the drugstore is a find that blew my socks off the Covergirl Outlast Stay Fabulous in Buff Beige – Sharon Farrell used this in a tutorial and I thought it looked right up my alley, something that lasts all day and still stays fabulous and it certainly does both of these things.  It has brilliant coverage and doesn’t look cakey, I mean you can tell you have it on your face but it doesn’t look too mask like.  Again I have a post dedicated to this proclaiming it to be one of my holy grail foundations and it truly is!  Finally we have to priciest of the bunch and a fairly new one to my collection it’s the Yves Saint Laurent Fusion Ink Foundation in B20 – After hearing this had NASA technology allowing it to flex over your skin and stay put I instantly thought it would be perfect for my oily skin.  Again it is one of those very thin ink like consistencies which is super easy to apply, I love this for early mornings as I can slap it on my face with my fingers with minimal need for blending.

Hopefully that wasn’t too much reading for you guys but I just love sharing my favourite things with you!  What are your favourite foundations?  Can you suggest any more to add to my collection?

Stay tuned to see my favourite BB and CC creams in Sundays post.

Red Lipstick Revelations

Red lipsticks is something that instantly makes me feel glamorous!  It just adds that sophistication and glamour to any look as well as adding a certain effortlessness even though it may not be effortless.  So today’s blog is going to be sharing with you my favourite go to red lipsticks.

First up is a brilliant drug store red that I could not live without, it’s the Rimmel Lasting Finish by Kate in 110 – This is a vibrant orange red that is super creamy and really pops on my pale skin.  It isn’t super long lasting which is a shame but this also means that it isn’t drying so plusses and minuses.  I actually like to pop this on after a super long flight, its nice and creamy and does a brilliant job of making me look alive as opposed to the look of death I normally sport after a long flight.  Next up is a new one to my collection it’s the Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lipstick in Outlaw – This was given to me by a friend who isn’t really into red shades so I was very happy!  Like most liquid lipsticks it’s very long lasting but also a little but drying, to be honest the whole drying this doesn’t bother me as long as I have a trusty lip balm to slather on the next day.  I recently wore this on a day out which included drinking and a lot of eating and boy did this stand up!  I only had to re apply just before we left the restaurant, so I was extremely happy with its performance.  Another long lasting beauty is the Nars Velvet Matte Lip Pencil in Red Square – This was the first Nars lip pencil I purchased and it was the catalyst for my obsession with them!  I have dedicated an entire post to these beauties.  They are long lasting yet creamy and the colour range is amazing.  Red square is the perfect orange red shade that I love to wear during the day, its looks fancy enough yet very wearable on the day to day basis.  An absolute cult favourite in the beauty world is MAC Lady Danger – Again this is another matte orange red lipstick, are you sensing a theme?.  Much like the Nars version it works on any occasion and wears like a dream.  Moving slightly away from the orange red shades it’s the Nars Velvet Matte Lip Pencil in Cruella – This is an absolutely stunning deep red shade that makes such an impact on any look.  I love wearing this with minimal eye makeup and lots of bronzer on a night out to make it really pop!  I’ll definitely be taking this with me overseas for a simple night look.  Now back to the orange red shades, I’ll finish with the luxurious Tom Ford Wild Ginger – I first saw Max Made use this on Lara Bingle and new I had to have it!  It is so beautiful on the lips, nice and creamy with a heck load of pigment.  I really need to use this more!

So there you have it, my favourite red lipsticks.  What are yours?  Any suggestions to add to my collection?

Haul Time!

It has been quite a while since i’ve done a haul, I have a feeling that may be due to the fact that I am incredibly poor.  Damn you Europe flights!  However, over the last month or so I have still managed to do some damage so I thought I would share with you some of my cheeky little purchases.

First of all I went on a little bit of a Clinique spree, they had a great offer on when you spend $60 or over so I spent way over $60 and got a few free travel sized items which will be perfect for my trip.  The first item I wanted was the newish Clinique Lip Pop in Nude Pop – I’ve seen so many people in the beauty world swoon over these lipsticks so I new I just had to get my hands on one, they are quite a hefty price but I’m quite happy I forked out the money for one.  The nude pop is such a great everyday colour that can easily be applied without a mirror, bonus!  Another lip product I got was the Clinique Superbalm Moisturising Gloss in Apricot – I just thought this would be perfect so chuck in my handbag and use on a day to day basis when I need something that will moisturise my lips as well as adding a hint of colour.  I’m definitely taking this with me to Europe, my lips always get so dry in the cold so this will be a lifesaver!  The last Clinique product I purchased was the Moisture Surge Facial Spray – This promises to be a thirsty skin relief spray which is exactly what I need!  My dry spots are out of control at the moment so I want to grab anything that will help.  I’ve only had this a few days now but it feels so lovely and refreshing, I think it will be lovely underneath makeup as well.  Again it’s going to be another item I take on the plane with me!

As I mentioned my dry spots have been out of control of late!  It almost feels like sand paper!  So I really wanted to find something that will really deal with it.  I’ve been using mask upon mask upon mask but they have only been doing so much so when I heard ttsandra mentioned the La Roche Posay Cicaplast Baume B5 Soothing Repair Balm I thought my prayers had been answered.  Sandra explained that after a bout of vigorous exfoliating she found her skin extremely dry and sand paper like so she began to use the Cicaplast to reduce the texture issues.  This is exactly my issue, texture!  So I purchased this a couple of days ago and have been using it twice a day so fingers crossed this really works, I will keep you posted.

So as you may know I am new to the whole lip gloss game, so on my last trip to the shops I wanted to pick up a few more to see what was really out there.  First up was a recommendation from a lovely reader, its the Maybelline The Elixer in Mauve Mystique – These feel like absolute heaven on the lips, so creamy and not sticky at all.  I’m not sure about the colour I got though but we shall see. This gloss was also a recommendation from a lovely reader it’s the NYX Butter Gloss in Angel Food Cake – This is such a stunning colour, that very in pinky brown shade which goes with everything, I’ve got some really good use out of this one so far and I’ve found that pairing it with MAC Whirl lip pencil looks really beautiful.  After hitting up the NYX stand I headed over to trusty old Rimmel and grabbed one of their Oh My Gloss glosses, for the life of me I cannot find what shade this is in but again it’s that pinky brown shade that I am in love with at the moment.  I haven’t used this a lot at the moment but I  imagine I’ll love it.  My final product is a nail polish, it’s the Maybelline Colour Show in Pinkalicious – This is a stunning muted neon pink that I have been wearing on my nails since I purchased it, it applies like a dream however, it does chip quite easily but I really can’t complain for the price.

So there we have it another day another haul.  I just can’t help myself sometimes!  What have you been buying recently?

Conceal This

I’m calling it – concealer is my best friend.  I honestly don’t know what I would do with out it!  With my dark circles and redness my face would be an absolute mess if I didn’t have it in my arsenal.  So this post is going to go through my favourite concealers and what I use them for.

First up is Napoleon Perdis The One Concealer – I would die without this concealer, or more like I would look dead without this concealer.  This is a salmon toned corrector that does most of the covering up of my extreme dark circles, I use a small amount of this on the most effected areas and blend it in with a beauty blender.  It’s quiet a thick paste so the beauty blender really thins it out and makes it look a bit less intense.  On top of this I use the Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Dark Circle Eraser – This is a beauty world favourite and boy oh boy do I agree, its extremely light so it doesn’t cake which is definitely what you want with your under eye area.  I use this over the Napoleon one which is works brilliantly to cover up the remaining dark circles and is light enough to add a bit of a highlighted look.  Another under eye concealer that I love is the Amazing Cosmetics Concealer in Medium Beige – This is a heavy duty concealer, its super thick and covers up anything you can imagine.  I mainly use this when I’m in a real hurry and need to quickly cover up my dark circles, I pop just a little bit in the darkest area and lightly blend it out.  This doesn’t cover up my dark circles completely but it does a pretty good job.  A lighter version of all of these under eye correctors is the Napoleon Perdis Mighty Concealer Pen in Pink Beige – This is a super lightweight corrector that has a pinky tone to it, I mainly use this for those no makeup makeup days, I apply a thin layer under my eyes blend it out and then follow up the Maybelline Dark Circle Eraser.  This combination doesn’t look cakey at all, it definitely looks natural but it does show a little bit of my dark circles showing through.

The last two are what I consider face concealers.  First up is the Rimmel Wake Me Up Concealer in Classic Beige – I know a lot of people in the beauty world use this under their eyes but it just ain’t strong enough for me.  This is a beautifully light concealer that adds that extra little bit of coverage to redness and spots that foundation may have missed.  I tend to use this around my nose, on my jawline where I also get redness and a little bit on my forehead.  As it’s quite think it doesn’t cake up however, it isn’t the most long lasting concealer in the world so I tend to keep this for short days or very casual days.  Finally I have the Elf Maximum Coverage Concealer in Nude – This is quite heavy duty so it covers a lot!  I mean I probably wouldn’t call this maximum coverage but it definitely does the job.  I use this in the same areas as the Rimmel one and it lasts brilliantly, I use this on long days and definitely nights out.  Again it isn’t cakey at all but I tend to blend this in with a beauty blender so I get that incredibly flawless look.

So there you have it my myriad of concealer that will cover anything you wish.  What concealers are your favourites?

August Favourites

I know I say it every month but I cannot believe August is over!  I have mixed emotions about this year going so quickly, on one hand it means I will have finally graduated university and will then be heading to Europe which is very exciting.  On the other hand it means uni is over and I have to enter the real world and get a grown up job and do grown up things!  No! But then on another hand again I will hopefully be earning real money and just think of all the amazing beauty items I can buy with that money!  Anyway back to August favourites, this month has been pretty busy with uni and travelling between that and work has been a lot.  At least with being this buys I have had a lot of makeup days which means a fair few makeup favourites so lets start.

First up is a hair favourite, it’s the Toni & Guy Rough Texturiser Spray – at the moment I have a shortish bob that really lends itself to a few curls and a lot of texture so after going through my hair with a curling wand I spray my hair thoroughly with the texture spray that gives it that nice lived in feel.  Next up is a foundation that promised a lot and certainly delivered, it’s the YSL Fusion Ink Foundation – this promises to be long lasting as well as feather light on the skin and boy dies it deliver on both!  This has been my go to foundation at the moment as it is super easy to apply, I just swipe the convenient applicator across my face a few times and quickly blend tin with a brush.  This foundation is one of those very watery products that dries to powder, this is a hint that it dries matte which is a bonus for my oily skin.  It also lasts an extremely long time, I’ve really tested this out on one of my long days full on trains and walking and it really stands up to the stress, no caking and minimal shine!  Sticking with the face I have really been enjoying the Bobbi Brown Blush in Sand Pink – I recently wrote about this in my make me blush post and I honestly forgot how beautiful and natural it looked, I’ve really been getting some use out of on days that I don’t want too much makeup on and just want a very subtle flush.  It’s also matte so it really just looks like you’ve been standing out in the cold for a little bit.  Im always on the search for a perfect eyebrow product so when the L’Oreal Brow Artist Plumper in Medium/Dark came out I knew I needed to give it a go.  Now I thoroughly enjoyed Benefit’s gimme brow so when this came out I was hoping that this would be my drugstore answer, now it isn’t exactly the same but in some ways I think I like it better.  The brush is slightly bigger which isn’t really a bother but what I like most about this is its holding power!  I have quite unruly brows so this really keeps them in place without being too crunchy, another bonus is the size, this is much bigger than the benefit one so it will last me a hell of a lot longer.  To the lips now, so I’m officially a lip gloss convert and after some suggestions from you lovely readers I headed over to the NYX stand and checked their glosses out.  I settled on the NYX Butter Gloss in Angel Food Cake – These glosses are super buttery like the name suggests and not one bit sticky, thank god. This colour is also perfect for me, it’s that beautiful combination of pink and brown, very natural and very wearable.  I also just love the fact that I can slap this on without needing a mirror.  If I want to step it up a notch I pair it with MAC’s Whirl lip pencil which just adds an extra bit of oomph.  Finally I have a nail favourite, it’s the Maybelline Colour Show in Pinkalicious – This is just a really pretty muted neon pink shade which is really making me look forward to spring!  Now the formula is great to apply yet it doesn’t really last that long, I put this on my nails on Saturday and it started chipping by Monday so not a great wear length but for price I’m not too mad.

So there you go another month another favourites.  What have been your favourites in August?

Tan Time

I love the look of freshly tanned skin, the feeling of just been on holiday even though you haven’t.  When it comes to self tanning I can be quite lazy, I want it to be and painless when applying and I want it to dry immediately which I know is not really possible when it comes to at home tanning.  However, I have now find this little beauty which has changed my tanning life!  It’s the ST.Tropez Self Tan Express Bronzing Mousse – This promises to give you a sun kissed tan within one hour, now it says that on the bottle however, when you read further into it I found that it was one hour for a light tan and 3 for a deep tan so clearly I go for the 3 hours, I’m not going through all that effort just for the hint of a tan!  So what I do with this beauty is make sure I exfoliate the day before applying, I then pump a generous amount on my tanning mitt and apply an even coat all over my body.  I have to concentrate on my chest area as well, it really seems to eat up the tan and not get a nice deep colour for some reason.  The think I love most about this tan is that it dries so quickly!  There is no sitting around waiting fanning yourself waiting for it do dry, it’s pretty much just apply and get dressed and wait for the tan to develop.  After about 3 hours or maybe 3 and a half, I jump in the shower and lightly wash it off with a body wash, then viola you have a beautiful sun kissed tan!  It also continues to develop for a further 8 hours so do not be afraid if you don’t look super tanned after your shower.  I love this stuff so much because it doesn’t give you any orange tones whatsoever it’s an extremely natural bronzed look which is think is due to the olive tone coloured mousse.  Another major bonus of this tan is the wear time, I’ve currently be wearing this tan for a week and have not had to exfoliate it off, it wears away very naturally, not patchy which means less work for me in the long run!

All in all I think this is a must have for any tan lover out there, the convenience of being able to tan without having to sleep in it and worry about stains on your sheets or being all smelly is a major bonus.  I think this is an item that I will always have in my arsenal.
